Today I have a day off and it is the first day of a four day weekend, you wouldn't be wrong in thinking that that is a woo worthy occasion, alas it is not. This weekend I am moving house and it has become a rather stressful affair, mostly because I am moving properties in Cardiff whilst living in Wiltshire and the landlady, (who doesn't like us, and we don't like her) only has my number so has spent most of yesterday texting me about when all my other house mates have to leave. So today I am heading back to Cardiff to clean the house to an inch of it's life!! In an attempt to ensure that I get my deposit back, or at least some of it anyway!
My dad has just given me a bag full of hard core cleaning products and DIY things for me to use to get the house squeaky clean with the warning that some of them are highly corrosive! Could be an interesting weekend!
The more fun part of my long weekend will be that I get the keys to my new house :D Really looking forward to this! Didn't have such an amazing time in my old house last year, and this year I am moving in with some really awesome people so can't wait to start this year off!
Another good thing about this weekend is that, despite being paid, I don't have much money so I will have lots of time in between cleaning for me to read my book! Hoping to get this one finished by Sunday to keep to my 2 weeks per book reading limit.
Oh and on the note of books, I found out I passed my degree with a 2:1 this week which means I will be getting onto my Masters course! Another plus for the year to come! I've been having a look at the syllabus for the course and one of the modules is on J.R.R. Tolkien. (You have no idea how happy I am I get to study Tolkien!!!) So I will be buying a book of his essays On Myths and Monsters (I think) I have the idea of getting a tatty but small paper back, but then I realised this is by the guy who wrote Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, and The Silmarillion, it is not going to be small! I also get to study more on the legend of King Arthur, another of my passions which I am really looking forward to, lots of cool books for me to buy to add to my vastly growing collection!
I've run out of things to write about and seeing how this is a rather weak blog entry anyway I will leave it here. I will let you know how the cleaning goes!
